The questions our inbox sees most, answered in one place.
Yes — every silicone head is food-grade and BPA-free, with a stainless steel core molded inside in one piece, so there are no seams or joints in contact with food. New silicone can carry a faint factory smell; a half-hour soak and a few hours in open air clears it before first use.
The silicone heads are rated to 446°F / 230°C — enough for searing and deep-frying. They should not rest against a bare flame or an empty preheating pan, which run hotter than any food does.
Cast iron under a food-grade enamel glaze, oven-safe to 500°F and happy on gas, electric, ceramic and induction. The one rule: let it cool on its own before washing — hot enamel meeting cold water is how coatings crack.
Stainless steel bowls, baking sheets, flatware and steel-handled utensils — yes. Wooden handles and the bowl lids prefer a quick hand wash: the dishwasher dries out wood and can warp lids. Dry steel promptly to keep water spots away.
Warm water, a soft sponge, and patience instead of steel wool. The glaze releases most residue on its own once the pot has cooled.

Yes — through the order page of the partner store where you bought, while the order is still being packed. Not sure where to click? Email support@umitechef.pages.dev and we will point you to the right place.
